So you've retired, or you're approaching retirement. Now
what? Maybe you're wondering how you will fill your days,
weeks, and years with meaningful activities. Or you're
thinking about starting a new part time or full time
career, using your experience and skills, or even striking
out in a new direction. Your parents' generation viewed
retirement as a kind of perpetual vacation, or a second
childhood: no bills, no responsibilities, no job. Retirees
today are redefining what retirement is all about. The old
mode (find a career, get a job, work at it, retire, spend
the rest of your days in leisure activities) is only one of
many possible ways people are redefining their retirement
years. How would you like to write the next chapter of your
life?
As your coach, I will work with you as you identify the
steps you need to take to design a truly fulfilling
retirement that is balanced with the rest of your life's
goals and your retirement leisure activities, and is
congruent with your values and desires. This might involve
work in the field you retired from, or paid or volunteer
work in a totally different field. I will work with you as
you define your goals and develop a plan for reaching them.
As a 60 year old baby boomer, I'm facing the same questions
I've raised above, and I look forward to working with you
as you move into this exciting new stage of your life's
journey!
